Non-resident foreign tourists paying with a foreign credit or debit card are exempt from paying the 21% VAT (Value Added Tax) on accommodation services throughout the country.
Requirements:
Be a non-resident tourist in the Republic of Argentina.
Present a copy of your passport and immigration certificate. For neighboring countries, a foreign document and immigration certificate are required.
Pay with a credit card NOT issued in the Republic of Argentina, or via international bank transfer.
The stay must not exceed 90 days in the country.
You must actually use the reservation. In case of no-show or late cancellation, the accommodation plus 21% VAT will be charged.
